Chapter 485
Nathalie said, "I'll go ahead and pay for three years upfront."
The administrator paused for a moment, then broke into a wide grin. "Alright, alright."noveldrama
Once Nathalie settled all the fees, she headed back to the hospital room. Greta was still there, her eyes brimming with jealousy and anger. "Who are you trying to impress? I know exactly how much you're worth. Just a small-time designer splurging all this cash-you'll have to pinch pennies from now on."
Miranda was moved, tears welling up. "Nathalie, you're going out of your way for me. You're so kind-hearted. Good things will come your way."
Nathalie chuckled. "I like the sound of that."
Miranda sighed, "But you've spent so much on us. How are you going to manage now?"
Just then, Nathalie's phone rang. She picked it up with ease, and Nathan's smooth voice came through. "Nathalie, where are you?" His voice was upbeat, with a sweet lilt that made every word a delight.
Hearing Nathan's voice filled Nathalie with a warm, involuntary joy, a smile spreading across her face. "I'm at the Gracewood Rehab Center."
"The rehab center's right near my office. How about I come by and we grab lunch together?"
Nathalie was confused, "I thought Maple Company was down south and the rehab center is up northeast! That's not exactly close."
Nathan laughed awkwardly, "Oh, I'm not in the office right now. I'm doing some work nearby."
Nathalie let it go. "Alright then, come pick me up."
"You got it!" Nathan's voice was brimming with happiness.
After hanging up, Greta eyed Nathalie enviously. "So, you're dating someone?"
Nathalie didn't deny it. Greta sneered, "And here I thought you'd stay loyal to Cameron forever. Guess you didn't love him that much, huh?"
Nathalie shot back, "A schemer like him is just right for someone like you, a real manipulator."
Greta was fuming. "You? A divorced woman like you won't find a decent man. I'm curious to see what kind of guy you've latched onto." Nathalie simply ignored her.
Half an hour later, a high-end sports car zoomed in, executing a flawless drift into the parking lot. The car door flew open, and Nathan stepped out, exuding confidence, holding a bouquet crafted from dazzling crystals and gemstones.
From a nearby car, the driver's window slid down. Cameron watched Nathan, his brow furrowing in curiosity. What was Nathan doing at the rehab center, and with a gift clearly meant for a young woman?
Driven by curiosity, Cameron got out and quietly followed Nathan.
Nathan strode straight to the building entrance, where Nathalie emerged, with Greta trailing behind.
Nathan caught up, his steps confident, and handed the bouquet to Nathalie. "For you."
Nathalie's eyes widened in surprise. "This is way too extravagant."
Nathan shrugged, "I make good money; you should get used to spending it."
Nathalie admired the bouquet, each flower a sparkling diamond. Even though they were smaller diamonds and not as pricey individually, the sheer number made it clear they were quite lavish.
