Salute To The General

Chapter 3767 Friend Or Foe

Meanwhile, the feast had concluded.

Gradually, everyone dispersed, while Lucius and his group returned to the State Guesthouse in disappointment.

They had come prepared, intending to assess Nathan's condition. If they discovered that Nathan's combat power was depleted, they would immediately order the troops stationed in space to launch an attack on the Divine Realm. Unfortunately, they were all terrified by Nathan's casual display of power.

In that moment, they were disheartened and no longer dared to covet the Divine Realm. They simply waited for a day or two to pass before leaving the Divine Realm and accepting their fate as vassal kings.

That night, Max stayed up late, reading in his study. It seemed as though he was anticipating something.

Knock Knock!

Two crisp knocks on the door resonated through the room.

He immediately raised his head, looked towards the door, and said in a deep voice, "Come in!"

Symon, one of his subordinates, pushed the door open and entered.

Max impatiently asked, "How is the investigation progressing regarding the matter I assigned you? Was the vial of Blueblood collected by Queen Hepburn intended for the God King?"

Symon shook his head and replied, "I couldn't find anything despite my efforts. Queen Hepburn has left no trace at all."

Max had hoped that Symon would uncover something.

Unexpectedly, Symon couldn't find anything and evaded responsibility by claiming that Hepburn had taken thorough precautions.

Max's face instantly darkened, and he was ready to lose his temper on the spot when Symon hastily added, "Although I couldn't determine whether the vial of Blueblood collected by Queen Hepburn was intended for the God King, I discovered another issue." Max's anger subsided as he curiously asked, "What did you find?"

Symon explained, "I happened to notice that the God King seemed unwell when he left the banquet tonight. I discreetly followed him and observed that he appeared to be relying on Queen Hepburn's support and could barely walk."

Max instinctively wanted to dismiss it as impossible.

At the banquet, the God King displayed his terrifying power, leaving even the Four Emperors in awe.

However, he immediately recalled his previous speculation.

If the God King was truly weak when he left, to the point where he needed Hepburn's support to move, it would confirm my suspicions.

Nathan had sustained severe injuries. Not only had his wounds failed to heal, but they were also extremely serious.

On this occasion, Nathan relied on

the Blueblood that Hepburn had obtained for him. He forcefully suppressed his injuries, thereby unleashing a certain level of combat power that intimidated the Four Emperors.

With these thoughts in mind, a subtle smirk appeared on Max's face.

He praised Symon, "You have done well this time. For the next blood feast, I grant you the freedom to indulge yourself."noveldrama

Symon's eyes lit up as he repeatedly thanked Max, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Max."

Max cautioned, "Remember, you must not speak of tonight's events to anyone, or you will know the consequence!" Symon quickly responded, "Yes, Mr. Max!"

Max said, "You may leave!"

Symon hastily excused himself.

Max turned around, changed his

attire, and covered himself in a black cloak, concealing his appearance. He quietly slipped out of the door, disappearing into the darkness of the night.

At the State Guesthouse, Lucius, along with Mentzer, Fermin, and Lola, were blaming each other.

In a fit of anger, Lucius exclaimed,

"Everyone, stop arguing! We made a mistake this time. We initially

thought Nathan was weak, but we didn't expect him to be so formidable. Our plan to eliminate

him and take over the Realm

seems impossible now. Se

everyone, prepare to return home tomorrow!"

Lola and the others nodded in agreement, ready to disperse.

Suddenly, Lola's expression changed as she looked out into the darkness outside the window. She coldly said, "Who is that sneaky little rat, daring to spy on us!" Lucius and the others also sensed the presence of a powerful individual.

Lucius' face turned pale. "Would you prefer to reveal yourself and face your demise, or shall we do the honors?"

Max, cloaked in black, emerged leisurely from the darkness. He chuckled and said, "I have come to visit the four of you. Is this how you welcome your guests?" Lucius and the others did not recognize Max.

With sharp gazes, they coldly stared at the unexpected visitor before them. Indifferently, they said, "You were sneaking around. How are we to know whether you are a friend or foe?"
